I don’t have the heart to break my clients’…

I don’t have the heart to break my clients’…but sometimes I don’t have a choice. I took this picture to show my client that her previous extension install caused breakage on every point of contact 😳 this was a new client so I have to earn her trust and show her what we have to focus on to remedy this going forward even if it hurts her to see…this breakage so close to the scalp can be caused from so many different reasons:
1-not coming in for regular maintenance/going too long between move ups (5-7 weeks is recommended)
2-not having enough hair in the bead section/applying too many beads
3-wrong bead size for hair type (yes they have different sizes)
4-not using silicone lined beads
5-wet installs (done on wet hair, yes, some people do this 🤦‍♀️)when the hair elasticity is at its maximum
6-applying vigorous amounts of product at root to weigh down baby hair before installation, thus trapping that with hair in the bead until next move up, the hair comes out with the bead.

Moral of the story is. What’s happening under the hood of your extensions?! Make sure you have open communication with your stylist and you are able to have candid conversations about hair health and create a regimen for at home care in between coloring and move up sessions and make sure you are doing the right method for your hair type 🫶 any extensions or color service can be damaging BUT NOT LIKE THIS

Hands down, my favorite part of Paris was my 2 hours I spent at the Arc de Triomphe. I also saw my name on the side where all the soldiers last names are inscribed that fought in the French revolution!!! 💁‍♀️ You can feel and sense the history over the centuries there and it’s so beautifully built. Tres bien, Napoleon 👏👏👏 Im ready to go back and see more, maybe I’ll have a new favorite next time 🤍

I had to snap a pic of a quick look under the hood of Invisible Bead Extensions before I styled her. I couldn’t help myself because it really does make a difference and her scalp is so healthy 😍 she keeps up with her extensions every 5 weeks. If you are unhappy with your current install, you may be waiting too long in between sessions, or you may not be getting IBE method!!!! Hit me up, I got you boo 🫶

TIPS for maintaining your extensions but also your

TIPS for maintaining your extensions but also your regular hair this summer season
🌺TIP 1-always use a sunscreen with NO avobenzone. Mineral based only!
Why? This is what causes discoloration of extensions, peaching of the color, and is irreversible. Once this happens, you must replace your hair. Also, save the coral reefs!🪸
🌸TIP 2-wet hair first or apply a leave in or oil before swimming. Avoid getting hair wet if possible!
🐚TIP 3- wash and brush immediately after pool/ocean.
Why? Salt water and Chlorine water is alkaline, and when sitting under heat (sunlight) it literally bakes into your hair causing discoloration, drying and/or damage.
🪸TIP 4- wear hair up or in a braid when swimming to avoid excessive water, wear a hat for further color protection.

🌻Every day tips:
-use a hydrating serum or oil daily even if you don’t wash
- do not prolong your maintenance appointments. You will damage your natural hair and your extensions will loose life.
- uses hydrating shampoo & conditioner not strengthening. Also please don’t skip washing your hair. Wash at least 2-3 times a week to keep your scalp clean and healthy from product residue and SWEAT.
